Full Access, Automatic, Ask and Plan

A permission mode sets what an employee can do on its own. Change it in the employee's Settings, under Permissions.

An employee's permission mode sets what it can do on its own before it needs to ask you. Change it in the employee's Settings, under Permissions — or set the default every new employee starts with at Settings → Permissions.

The four modes

  • Automatic. Works on its own inside its job. Asks you only about money, first messages to new people, things it can't undo, work outside its job, or acting on outside content.
  • Ask. Asks you before any action that changes something.
  • Plan. Reads and plans. Suggests actions but takes none.
  • Full Access. Asks only about what you set to ask first. Its commands can reach anything on your computer. Safety limits and anything you set to never run still hold.

Turning on Full Access asks you to confirm first.

What Full Access still won't do on its own

A run you didn't start yourself — a schedule, a workflow, another employee's request — can't remove or replace something the employee didn't make, even in Full Access. It stops and tells you what it wanted to change and why, instead.
